EDAX: Fast and Neutral

EDAX provides a 'tangibly fast' experience—get feedback from Espresso within milliseconds after sending (target p95 < 1s).

Transaction ordering is transparent as it uses a neutral shared sequencer, reducing the chance of frontrunning. Auditability of 'time/order' is enhanced by referencing Solana's Proof-of-History (PoH) independently. Fee costs decrease as traffic grows due to the Modular DA architecture, starting from Ethereum calldata and flexibly expanding to EigenDA/Celestia later. All of this operates under the 'safety net' of Ethereum, which performs final settlement and provides a fraud-proof window.

Transaction Path

When a user sends a transaction to EDAX RPC, the system compiles it into a batch and sends it to Espresso (HotShot BFT) for ordering and confirmation certificates. EDAX then publishes batch data to the Data Availability layer (starting with Ethereum calldata), recording proof of time with Solana Proof-of-History (slot and blockhash), then processed on Nitro EVM. If valid, the batch is accepted and later settled on Ethereum L1 with a fraud-proof window.
